I LOVE THIS GIRL, SO PRETTY......

I have been collecting vintage postcards for a long time now and I have been lucky enough to buy some of the prettiest.  I am really picky and there has to be something special about the card and that is not always because it is the loveliest.  That said this was one that I could not pass up and eventually I got around to restoring it.

I have so many sitting waiting to be worked on and I often feel guilty when I buy a postcard and I know it is going to sit in a drawer somewhere waiting for the day.  Well this postcard finally got its day and I was able to work on it.

This young lady is so beautiful and worth the wait, I hope you enjoy her.  You can purchase the digital download from YOUR CRAFT POSTCARDS and you can click HERE.

BIG CONFESSION......

Okay, I have to confess that this big lump of a tree only came down......

YESTERDAY!!!!

I know, I know, how can it be, this is the longest that I have ever taken.  I just could not seem to get my act together this year and finish the job.  You will notice it is already cleared of ornaments but the lights still remained and the tree had yet to be dismantled.

My daughter in love, (I have completely and uttlerly stolen this lovely title from my dear friend Rebecca, I will fully admit with full dsclosure) But what a lovely term, so much nicer than Daughter In Law, UCK!!!  Sorry I digress, dear Tiffany came to my rescue and began winding off the lights and dismantling the tree.  This luckily enough spurred me on to greatness and I finally put all the bits and pieces away!

The doll at the back is one of my all time favorites!

I am about to divulge one of my favorite secret must have's.......... drum roll here!!!

Susan Arnot hand crafted decorations!

I have been merrily collecting Susan for three years now and to put it simply I love her work.  Most of you know that I make spun cotton ornaments but I feel a bit odd about displaying my own creations.  So in the nick of time along came Susan and her truly spectacular holiday ornaments.   I now have over 19 pieces in my collection and each year I add a few more.

My favorites are of course the Christmas decorations though I do have some other pieces that I display thoughout the year in my home.  Susan is an artist and uses mostly vintage and antique pieces when making her often one of a kind creations.

Be sure to go to her Etsy shop and take a look at some of the goodies that are left they never last for long and many a time I have been pipped at the post when trying to buy something for myself.  You can hear teeth grinding and sobbing when this happens.

I will show you some more of my Christmas decorating another day but until then feast your eyes on Susan's creations.  She is one of Ety's best kept secret's, oops I think I have let the cat out of the bag!!!
